Corso - (Cor de la Bryere/Liguster)

Corso is a 2000 dark bay Holsteiner stallion by Cicero (Cor de la Bryere/Liguster) out of Sylvester Girl (Silvester/Capitano). He combines a world class pedigree, three very good gaits, and a superb disposition all in a tall, modern, athletic package! Corso was injured as a young horse so his competitive career was off to a late start. He is a proven sire with several outstanding youngsters that are already demonstrating their abilities to excel in the higher levels of sport! Currently Corso is jumping to 4”.

Corso's sire Cicero was imported from the Holsteiner Verband, in Germany. He has been an oustanding sire in North America, well known for the athletic prowess of his offspring, but also for their beauty, spectacular movement, and classic conformation.

His sire, Cor De La Bryere needs no introduction, having been established as a foundation sire in many registries. Ligustra, Cicero's dam is also the dam of Royal Cavalier, the most important Warmblood stallion in Ireland. He has winnings in CSIO up to 2.2 metres.
Corso's dam Sylvester Girl was an exceptional jumper herself, competing at venues such as Spruce Meadows in the Preliminary Jumpers. Her dam is also dam to Coriolan, who was a successful jumper and sire in Germany.
Corso was presented to the Canadian Sport Horse Association for evaluation and licensing in October of 2003. He topped the field of 7 and was awarded the Best in BC with only 3 stallions approved. He received 8's for his walk,

Milano and Macintosh, two stallions bred by Gleneden Stables, and both out of the Holsteiner mare Sylvester Girl, are now owned by Diana McDonald in Delta, BC.
